Experienced Pet Groomers

Location:  Little Silver & Freehold, NJ
Work Status:  P/T & F/T
Requirements:  Certification with at least 2+ years of grooming various, common breeds & excellent time management and customer service skills

Job Description: ​

• Groom dogs by specific breed standards without the use of a separate bather
• Has an eye for style and not just shave downs
• Groom with a gentle, caring hand
• Able to handle at least 5+ grooming dogs a day (we have a two large dog limit per day!)
• Work productively and as a team player
• May have to assist with common cleanup among other staff members at the end of night or throughout the day when a Salon Assistant is not present.
• Must be able to work Saturday & Sundays

Retail Sales Associate & Salon Reservation Specialist

Location:  Little Silver, NJ
Avg. Hours Per Week:  25+ (weekends mandatory)
Work Hours: Flexible between hours 9am-7pm
Compensation Range:  $16-$17 per hour

Job Description: ​Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Answering a large volume of phone calls & reservations in a pleasant, friendly, helpful manner
• Providing excellent customer service to both our salon clients & store customers
• Schedule reservations for up to 10 professional pet groomers
• Using our POS system when checking out grooming clients and customer store purchases while taking various forms of payment
• ​Calling salon clients with a pickup time, when needed
• Keeping the store and employee restricted areas clean and organized
• Inventory all store deliveries coming in, pricing merchandise and restocking shelves when needed
• Assisting the groomers from time to time when Salon Assistant is not present (vacuuming, cleaning salon, taking garbage out)
• Work independently, productively and be proactive to help keep the store neat & organized

​Skills Required:

• Must know most dog breed types
• Retail experience is a MUST for this job position
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal verbal skills mandatory
• Be a team player
• Able to handle multiple tasks at once some times.
• Must be DETAILED oriented and able to follow through with all tasks.
• Be dependable
• Prior appointment scheduling experience and knowledge in the holistic pet food industry is a huge plus!
• Handling pet food of up to 25lbs

Working weekends is also a requirement (Saturday & Sundays). In addition, the position may lead to full time & advancement in the future.

BONUS: we also provide commissions (and tips) to the qualifying applicant who possesses experience in bathing dogs and cutting nails who also seek additional compensation.

Salon Reservation Specialist & Assistant

Location:  Freehold, NJ
Avg. Hours Per Week:  15-20 (Saturday's a must)
​Work Hours: 8:30am-6pm
Compensation Range:  $16 per hour
